MASUDEM Steering Committee Meeting | November 10, 2025
National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok
Today, the MASUDEM project partners gathered for the final Steering Committee Meeting to review the project’s milestones, outcomes, and sustainability plans after three years of collaboration under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education programme.
Representatives from University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia), Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO), Spain, Mendel University (Czech Republic) , and Občianske združenie No Gravity (Slovakia) joined the meeting both onsite and online — together with our Asian partners from Thailand and Indonesia:
The discussions focused on:
It was a meaningful reflection of shared commitment and teamwork toward advancing Master Studies in Sustainable Development and Management across Europe and Southeast Asia.
Café Amazon OASYS – learning about Sustainable Business in Practice and green innovation in Thailand’s largest coffee chain.
Lunch by the river at Baan Mai Rim Num, a local restaurant highlighting community-based tourism and Thai culinary culture.
Visits to Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon and the Ayutthaya Gold Treasure Exhibition Building, discovering the intersection of culture, history, and sustainable tourism.
The second day of the MASUDEM programme took participants beyond the meeting room—on a journey to connect sustainability theory with local practice through a field trip to Ayutthaya, Thailand’s historic capital.
The group departed from NIDA Gate 2 (Waterfall) in the morning and explored how sustainability principles are embedded in local businesses and cultural heritage:
This day strengthened cultural understanding and showcased how global frameworks for sustainability can find meaningful expression in local realities.
